The PILATES theme of the week is TAKE A WORK BREAK WITH PILATES:

Whether you work sitting down or spend extended periods of time sitting why not try the Take a Work Break with Pilates video (5 minutes) – see video link below.

If you spend much of your day sitting down (whether you are working or even watching TV), then it is important to get up at least every hour. It is a legal requirement to take a 10 minute break off your screen every hour to prevent eye strain (or a 5 minute break every 30 minutes). It is your responsibility to take this break not your employer’s responsibility to remind you. You can make telephone calls standing up, walk to the printer, decide to get up after dealing with every email or completing each chunk of work. Why not set an alarm on your phone to remind you to take a break?
