The PILATES theme of the week is POINTING YOUR TOES:
Following on from the foot and ankle mobility exercises last week, it is important to learn to point your toes (feet) correctly in Pilates using the lumbrical muscles.
This strengthens the arch muscles and helps to maintain the natural arches under your feet. There are 2 arches – one along the length of the inside of your feet and one across the balls of your feet.
Practice pointing and flexing your feet every day for a week and see if pointing your feet in Pilates becomes easier.
We look forward to seeing you in your Pilates class this week.
