The PILATES theme of the week is THE SERIES OF 5 ABDOMINAL WORKOUT:

There is a warm up and other exercises as well as The Series of 5 Abdominal Workout. (20 minutes).

The 5 exercises in the series are:

  1. Single leg stretch
  2. Double leg stretch
  3. Scissors
  4. Criss-cross
  5. The hundred

Try this video as a daily workout to improve your core strength.

Remember to:

  • Engage your pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles.
  • Exhale as you curl up.
  • Exhale in time with the effort of the single leg stretch, double leg stretch, and scissor leg stretch.
  • Keep your shoulders relaxed during the exercises.
  • Support your head with one hand if your neck feels any strain.
  • Progress to the more difficult version of each exercise as your stamina improves.
  • Try this video every day for maximum benefit.
