Assessment and treatment

The initial consultation lasts for up to one hour and enables us to carry out a thorough assessment to determine the nature of the problem and to provide the appropriate corrective treatment to address the underlying cause and reduce the symptoms. An internal examination may be required. You do not have to have an internal examination although this gives Faye much more information about the strength and function of your pelvic floor. You are welcome to be accompanied during your assessment and treatment by a relative or friend if you wish. If you are post-natal, you are welcome to bring your baby with you. Treatment is commenced during the initial consultation. Subsequent appointments for treatment are for up to 30 minutes when we review your condition and progress your treatment accordingly. Cost £390 (Assessment and 5 treatments).

Faye is qualified and experienced in the following treatments:

  • Education and advice.
  • Pelvic floor strengthening exercises.
  • Pelvic floor release exercises.
  • Breathing re-education.
  • Bladder retraining.
  • Dietary advice.
  • Pelvic floor biofeedback.
